I have talked with Ron Edwall at Vic Hubbards and he has given us a choice of two weekends for the warehouse tour.  We have either Oct 4 or Oct 11.

It would be in the morning, probably about 0900.

 Along with this tour, we get a VH discount card.

  I HAVE SEEN THE ELEPHANT! 

I’ve been spending a lot of time lately up in Vacaville for work, including many overnights.  Down the road from the hotel I stay at is the Vacaville Chrysler dealership.

THIS YEAR THE WEATHER WAS PERFECT. AT 6 AM .ALL ONE COULD HEAR WAS THE BIRDS AWAKENING  AND THE DEEP GROWLING PURR OF THE  EARLY ARRIVERS.

 SWAPERS ARE THE FIRST TO ARRIVE WITH THEIR WONDERFUL TREASURERS TO BE BOUGHT BY THE HOPEFULS.

WHAT A SITE.!  OVER 300 MOPARS STRUTTING THEIR STUFF AS THEY ARRIVED TO BE ADMIRED  BY OVER 2,000 SPECTATORS.

  It was a great SHOW!   Perfect weather, great turn out, lots of day of show registrations and drive-ins.  Couldn’t have asked for a better time.  Every one I talked to commented on how nice everything was and the variety of cars.

Did you know that, coming in 2009, GM’s ‘enhanced’ On-Star program will give them the ability to control the gas pedal on cars equipped with that package?

Not only do they have the capability to track location and speed of every car on their GPS network, this ‘new feature’ will give them (or law enforcement) the ability to force the engine to idle speed, no matter how hard you depress the accelerator.

Yet another reason to not get that GPS package from the dealer. The portables are much less expensive, and usually more convenient, anyway.
