Previously owned 1972/3(?) Dodge Charger, 440 Magnum SE With Factory air and Sunroof. Bought in Detroit, moved to Montreal.
Travelled south to Florida then West to Mexico, Texas, Las Angeles.
Spending money clothes and valuables were stolen from the car when sunroof was left open midway between L.A. and San Francisco.
Get out of jail money, Passport and return ticket to Australia were stashed inside the rear seat squab.
My foiled plan was to bring the car back to Aussie, it was a lovely car that would instantly turn into a snarling monster when you booted it.
I sold the car for a fair price to decent man in a used car lot not far from the Frisco Airport. The person I dealt with said he wanted the car for personal use, I sincerely hope he had a good long run with that car.
Fifty years have not diminished the joy I felt racking up easy miles behind the Charger's wheel, or erased the negativity of being forced to
leave it.
